COMMITTEES, PROGRAMS AND COMMISSIONS

Standing and Special Committees

There are no Standing or Special Committees appointed yet for the 2009-2011 term. It is expected a Special Committee on Constitutional Reform and a Standing Committee on Socio-economic Studies to be formed in the Fall 2009.

Programs

Every Spring, the Congress' Special Committee on Culture, in cooperation with the provincial Congresses and the major Greek Communities, organizes a National Greek-language Essay Competition for students in Greek schools across Canada. The top submissions from each region are rewarded in a ceremony that every year takes place in a different city. The program has been a great success since its inception in 2004, with all participants being winners.
